After an enjoyable couple of years running RedRat, we have decided that its time to call it a day. It has not reached a sufficient size to be a viable business, and we don't anticipate any change through 2005.
It is business as usual until I have found a new job, but following that it is unlikely that any further product support or help can be provided. We have a reasonable amount of stock left, and may be able to get new batches manufactured for any third parties that use our products in their systems.
Many thanks to the support we have received from UK HA community, and we hope that HA in the UK will continue to florish.

You can see photos and read descriptions of a variety of projects, from a few simple components in a cupboard under the stairs, to huge multi rack installations. Hopefully this page will show you what can be done and inspire you to do your own. If you would like your N0 added to our gallery just

The UK Home Automation 2004 event was held on the 15th and 16th May 2004, in Ramada Jarvis Hotel in Hatfield, near London. As last year, Paul Gale from Silicon Pixel recorded a professional video of the event. This video is a great opportunity to get a real flavour of the show. A special thanks to Amar for his original music track "Automation" used in the video... |

We've just passed the ONE MILLION PAGE VIEWS mark in that six months! (equivalent to around 7,000,000 hits).
Thanks to all of our visitors for making Automated Home truely one of the web's most popular home automation sites!

With discussions about Z-Wave on both the mailing list and forums again recently I contacted ZenSys for a comment..."Hello Mark, The current situation is that several OEMs are considering a UK launch for the end of this year but none has taken a final decision. Hopefully in August I should be able to tell you who is coming first... |

To All of Our Customers,
We are sorry to announce that we will be discontinuing the Slink-e product. We will be accepting orders until June 30th if you wish to purchase a unit before they are discontinued. We will continue to provide limited service and support for our existing customers.
We are very grateful for all of the support and enthusiasm that we have received from the community of Slink-e users over the last six years. You have given us so much appreciation and help and we are glad that we were able to keep this product out there for so long. As the old timers know the Slink-e was never even intended to be a product and Colby originally gave the plans away for free. It was your enthusiasm that made it possible for us to have a viable business. Thanks to all of you... |
