We reported back in March on the new mPanel wall-mountable touch screen from Embedded Automation. Now they are teasing us with several new videos previewing the mPanel in opperation. The 7" mPanel includes a built-in audio amplifier allowing it to play and control music in it's local zone. It's also demonstrated controlling the lighting and other home automation tasks as well as integrating with Windows Media Center...

Apple have just taken the wraps off their movies service in iTunes for the UK . With around 700 titles available right away you have the choice of buying or renting. Back catalogue titles sell for £6.99 while new releases go on sale for £10.99 on the same day as their DVD release. It looks like the UK is getting a 48hr rental period (US currently 24hrs) with prices starting at £2.49 for older titles and £3.49 for new releases. You can also download selected titles in HD quality for £4.49. You'll be able to watch the movies on your iPod, iPhone or on a widescreen TV with Apple TV.
