Well, it looks like after much wailing and nashing of teeth the OSXBMC team has decided to officially fork away from the XBMC group. I'm never a fan of forks, it always seems like it would be better to have one team pulling in one direction, but the pragmatist in me realises this isn't always possible, (indeed the xAP home automation protocol born out of our mailing list also forked into xPL). In the meantime the good news is that Elan and the team is continuing and will now develop a separate app for the Mac. We wish both teams continued success... |

Here's an interesting little $80 device USB device that supports hard/flash drives, memory card reader, USB webcams, USB speakers and USB Multi-Function printers, all over Etherent. It looks like Windows only and although it supports 4 USB devices it's only got a single USB port so you're going to need to add a hub... |
