The ROM upgrade for the iPAQ has just been released!

"Enhancements
o Microsoft update to the Pocket PC operating system.
o Enhanced USB/Serial Drivers for improving connection between the iPAQ and host PC.
o Improved audio recording and playback.
o Customized the default Homepage on Pocket IE.
o Enhanced Icons...(Power, AGC, Autorun, Backup).
o Enhanced Qutility Menu.
o Enhanced system performance with fixes to Qstart memory usage.
o Enhanced screen performance in inking mode.
o Reduced audio noise on system due to amplifier turning on and off.

Fixes
o Fixed Alarm volume to sound at the specified volume setting.
o Fixed scroll lock issue in the Microsoft Reader.
o Fixed Backlight Brightness setting to enhance power performance."
