Kieran Broadfoot has found some interesting info for users keen to run the DDAR on Linux...
Here is some information for hacking on the device. Setting up a Linux machine as a server for the Rio Receiver. - Building a GCC cross-compiler, glibc, and a Linux kernel for the device on an X86 Linux host..
- Hacking the kernel so volume operates on the line output.
- Building bash, tiny-vi, and a bunch of other utilities so you can develop programs for the Rio Receiver.
- Demo code for the Rio Receiver to exercise LCD, IR remote, audio, and a GPL MP3 player."
