Since Graham Howe posted a seemingly ordinary message to the UKHA mailing list last Friday, UK home automators have been in an Epod frenzy!
The Epod is a webpad device that was originally sold at a seemingly subsidised price along with a a month subscription to its ISP. The ISP has since folded and the Net community has worked out how to hack the webpad so it can be used with any ISP. The CE powered machine comes with USB and more interestingly a PCMCIA slot allowing it to be hooked up to wireless LANs.
Best bit is it is still available making it by far the cheapest device of it's type available.
