I've just noticed that the new CBus-Enabled website seems to have been launched this morning. This is Clipsals site dedicated to companies and individuals that have (or are thinking of) developing hardware or software to link their products with C-Bus devices. Its section on "C-Bus Open Protocols" will hopefully help to dispel the myth that C-Bus is a totally closed system...

The Future's Bright - The Future's C-Bus

I'm sitting in the departure lounge of an Airport waiting to fly home after an exciting day at Clipsal headquarters in the UK.

The technical seminar was taken by Clipsal's "top brass" who had just flown in from Oz. Despite my pleads I am unable to show you any photos or talk about any of the new products we saw :( Suffice to say however, that the future for C-Bus is a bright one...

xAP to C-Bus Gateway Update

Submission by Kevin Hawkins - OK - another update. This is of the Rabbit development system with the following piggyback boards installed - a Rabbit 3200 core attached lower left corner, plus the C Bus SIM upper centre (blue board) and a 4 line graphic lcd display with keypad and LED's. The power supply connector is upper right corner and the blue Ethernet cable emerges centre left. The two wires (white and blue) are the C-Bus connection...
