OK, we love Google.  Google search, Google reader, Google Docs, but where's our Google Drive - we need file storage in the Cloud to complete the package?   While we were waiting, a few weeks back we saw the DropBox video (check it out after the jump) and were blown away.  Well today we final got an invite to the beta and after a morning playing it appears to be just as great in real life.  So here's our 5 minute summary of what it can do...

Microsoft have just announced their new web-based Live Mesh system. Allowing you to link and sync folders in the cloud, the system also allows you to remotely control the desktops of other computers in your Mesh.  It looks like an interesting new service and will allow users to share information more freely between PCs, phones (and soon Macs) whether around the home or around the world...

ITV's on-line TV service - Catchup - is now Mac compatible.  You'll need to install Microsofts Silverlight plugin, the Adobe-Flash-like addon that's required for it to work.  We've just tried it and as you can see from the screen grab above it's v1.0 but still classed as a beta...

BBC Announces iPlayer on Wii

BBC iPlayer on Wii

A few minutes ago the BBC announced that it's done a deal with Nintendo to allow its Wii games console to stream iPlayer programing to TVs across the UK!  A basic version of the player is available TODAY with a more polished version to follow.

UPDATE Instructions for enabling the iPlayer on the Wii have now been published on the BBC site.  It appears this involves paying £3.50 to add the Internet Channel, although the BBC hope to find a way around this in the future...

Apple just updated their £65 AirPort Express to 802.11n.  Now up to 5 times faster than its predecessor, this useful little device allows you to create a wireless network at home. It also interacts with your iTunes music library allowing you to listen in any room of your house. You can also attach a printer to its USB port and share it wirelessly...
