Control4 have announced their latest home controller - the HC-500.   In addition to its Home Automation credentials of lighting, temperature and security control, it also offers multi-room music from its built-in media server. USB Monitor Adaptor

The RegHardware have an interesting little video from CES on this USB adapor that allows you to connect up to 6 monitors to your PC.  The device from DisplayLink is said to cost around £40 and is available now.  A wireless version is due around the middle of this year at around £100 which would have great applications in a smart home.  Imagine a single central PC sending CCTV pictures, RSS Feeds, Movies etc to several different screens around the home wirelessly!  Watch the videos after the jump...
