AlertMe Partners With Telco and Heating Controls Firms

Last month AlertMe sounded their intent to move their tech-niche company towards a higher volume business.

Just a few weeks on and the firm has just announced a raft of news including a potentially huge deal with Deutsche Telekom, the acquisition of Wattbox and a strategic partnership with SmartHeating application company, Invensys Controls.

On the back of the development of an open standards (OSGi) controls platform AlertMe is announcing a partnership with Deutsche Telekom which will see it developing a set of home management applications for the telcos' 'Smart Connect Box' that will be available to 35 million German homes from mid 2012 (irrespective of telco provider) – it's home automation and energy management on a mass market scale.  

AlertMe, the Smart Home technology company, today announces the development of an open standards (OSGi) controls platform and a partnership with Deutsche Telekom, Germany’s largest telecommunications company, to develop a set of home management applications for its Smart Connect platform. The partnership with Deutsche Telekom represents the first tier-one European Telco partnership for AlertMe and follows the announcement of its strategic partnership and commercial agreement with the UK’s largest utility British Gas, worth over £20 million in product and services delivery. 

It is also announcing a partnership with Invensys to develop a SmartHeating application which will allow consumers to control heating remotely via online, smartphone or SMS , something which AlertMe is describing as the 'killer app'…

Finally it is acquiring Wattbox to extend AlertMe's heating controls proposition to hot water too…
