Competition: Win the Efergy Ego Smart Wi-Fi Socket

The Efergy Ego Smart Wi-Fi Socket can remotely control appliances from your smartphone whilst monitoring and logging the energy they use. Here’s your chance to win one of the £40 units…

Ego uses a cloud in order to store your data and controls your home through a router and ego smart sockets. You can easily tap into the data using any smart phone that has been paired with the smart socket. Even multiple smart phones can be paired with the same set of power sockets just in case more number of family members want to have an access.

Once your devices are properly linked, you can easily monitor and control the different sockets in your home. The ego is quite easy to set up and use unlike the other network enabled wireless energy monitors as it is absolutely self contained and does not require any “hub” or a “bridge” device.

  • Appliance Control – The ego allows you to remotely switch an appliance or a group of appliances. through the ego app
  • Energy Monitoring – It allows you to know the real-time or historical energy consumption of an appliance or a group of appliances
  • Schedule Timers – Set timers for automatic switching of devices and to give anyone watching your home the impression someones in.
  • Standby Elimination – The ego learns and turns off appliances automatically that have been on stand-by for too long, also helping to reduce your home energy bills.

The ego is compatible with Android and iPhone and Efergy say “we’re planning to open the SDK-API in the future”.
