<description>There is now a USB dongle HE853 that together with the (unfortunately windows-only) software will control the other homeeasy stuff. I just bought a package with 3 on/off wall sockets, 1 dimmer wall socket, one remote (HE844a) and one HE853 dongle for about 33 euros (approx. 30 UKP I think), which is a really good deal; a lot cheaper than just one Tell Stick USB.

<description>Thanks. This helps. You may be interested in a Tell Stick USB instead of the RFXCom units they are cheaper and there's lots of FREE HA software available. Also C H Byron is not some bloke in a shed - just put the company address into google maps and you'll see their warehouse is pretty big. They could do better at promoting their retail outlets though. When I phoned the tech guy was very helpful. B&amp;Q have stopped selling Home Easy (except for 3 plug multi packs). Homebase in London stores have started selling and if successful should roll out country wide. Maplins should also stock from April onwards.

<description>regarding the rfxcom devices; they are truly great. Not the cheapest, but besides providing an interface to the homeeasy range of products their devices also support X10, Visonic, Oregon scientific and more. All in a single package. Its a great option if you want to get rid of the X10 stuff, yet want to migrate slowly and need to support both.
A great feature is the collision detection. The 433mhz is getting pretty crowded in my place, so if you have both a receiver and a transmitter, the transmitter will use the receiver to listen for some millisecs of silence in the 433mhz range and only then will sent the commands. Greatly improved the reliability of my HA.
I wrote the driver for the Girder HA software and must say they provide great support. If you are serious about using HomeEasy in your HA, then the rfxcom devices are worth every penny.

Try and contact their support to get a version for a review.

regarding NEXA; HomeEasy is compatible with NEXA, Düwi, KlikAanKlikUit, and then some, though HomeEasy has 2 versions; the UK and the EU version. So remain carefull there. But then again... rfxcom supports them all.

			<description>Hej,

As far as I can tell the HomeEasy line of products are the same as NEXA used here in Sweden. See http://translate.google.se/translate?u=http://www.nexa.se/DigitalFjarrkontrollTimer.htm&amp;sl=sv&amp;tl=en&amp;hl=sv&amp;ie=UTF-8 for the remote for example.

If this is true then there is a low cost USB connected code sender that i use to control the devices - see http://translate.google.se/translate?u=http://www.telldus.se/&amp;sl=sv&amp;tl=en&amp;hl=sv&amp;ie=UTF-8

<description>As I understand it, all units in the HE200 range should be dimmable, including the HE205. Having said that, I've not actually tried, and mine is in bits on the bench.

I suggest you try asking on homeeasy's forums:

http://forum.homeeasy.eu/

They're a friendly bunch, and there are even some helpful customer service types posting occasionally.

			<description>Hallo
Nice review
Just one question
did you managed to dim HE205??
I purchased 6 of them in different configuration and none of them ware dimmable and I am now on discussion with HomeEasy and very nice lady on their side couple of days ago claimed that she got couple of the in use at home and they are but if I can send them one they can test it for me. Well today when I called to ask if they had a chance to see my module she was not so nice anymore she was very defensive and I will even say offensive and she said that they need 7 days to test it because of amount of modules they have been send and she cannot tell me if they are dimmable or not – what a change of heart. I will wait anyway but just want to know what is you experience with them?
I think that they had recently too many complains and the blocked access to post in their forums ect. But I might be wrong and what she said is true that they just updating their webpage and it is ongoing process.
