@Michael - Indigo also controls X10 devices; we have quite a few European users. I agree with you though - it'd be nice if Smarthome made some 220V/230V versions of the INSTEON products. - Jay Martin

Sounds good. But as I know INSTEON is not adopted for Europe yet. And I'm afraid it won't be. - Michael

Shameless plug here; but Indigo 4.0 is now available in Australia along with 230V X10 starter kits at http://www.smarthome.com.au/homeautomation/mac/ - Daniel, SmartHome.com.au

You are right, please don't take my comment to heavily. It is more out of a personal frustration: I would want HA to become more mainstream, but most of the things I see look like hobbyist material that maybe I would appreciate but your, say, girlfriend wouldn't dare to come near.

JG: We're always open to suggestions if you'd care to make some. ;)

The current product is geared towards moderately technical do-it-yourselfers, and so the UI reflects that audience. With the 4.0 release having a Lite version and some other usability improvements, we've started down the path to reach a broader audience.

Personally, I think the whole UI of both the desktop and the "touch" application are unacceptable.
For home automation to ever become succesful people have to do a better job. It wouldn't hurt to change the loof & feel of their website, either.
