I'm not sure if the software has been optimised since the review but I can't see any stuttering at all even with very heavy skins. - Steve Homer

You say: "Navigating through the XMBC menus feels slightly slower on the odd occasion compared to the Mac mini".
The most importand thing for me to know is, does mediastream runs smoothly, really smooth or does it stutter a second for every menu... - kahn

Interesting, I can see how it'd definitely be great for adding additional rooms to an xbmc/plex household but a big part of the decision for me towards a mac mini is it can be my ripping machine as well, something which I assume this would struggle with a little? Certainly it'd be slower and I guess a little more limited software wise. Still a great deal though. Now if only you could automatically sync libraries between Plex and XBMC!
