The BBC have been following the research project by David Wilson Homes in conjunction with the University of Nottingham...

"It has been built using the latest techniques, full of mod-cons and to highest design specs. A local family was chosen to live in the house for six months and be electronically tagged for some of that time. The idea is to find out how we use houses and what do people really want from their living spaces.

The results which we will have exclusively, ahead of national launch, will help architects, house-builders and designers work out the "perfect home"...

Project:LIFE is a unique research project by David Wilson Homes in conjunction with the University of Nottingham's School of the Built Environment. Its aim is to understand how the design of the home affects how we live together and to enable future houses to incorporate elements needed for today's lifestyles."
