  1. Is it just me or is it annoying to have to say “OK Google”….. I know these guys are trying to drum their brand into us all but really? Why can’t I give my house a “name” and use that instead as the wake word….

  2. Seems like a logical step for Google, Alphabet, whatever, with its plans to dominate smart homes

  3. I think part of the reason is that saying “OK Google” is a fairly unique set of phonetics that would be difficult to mistake for something else.
