  1. Looks interesting. Nice design.

If it integrates with all those third party products, for me, it seems like a better option to simply use a tablet like the iPad with a front end, and configure everything that way. Maybe I am missing the point.

Looks good though, price isn’t too bad.

  2. The biggest problem with using tablets or phones is you have to unlock them, launch the required app, wait whilst splash screens are shown etc. all this just to turn a light on. At least with a wall panel it’s like a light switch. It’s easy and most people can cope as long as the UI is simple.

  3. Isn’t Zipato cloud only though?

So no internet for some reason and suddenly your lights don’t come on?

  4. Zipato works with cloud servers to build rules and perform configuration but once configured, the system works independently of an Internet connection. The rules and devices can all be controlled in a local mode without a problem.

  5. This looks really nice, hopefully the Sonos and Hue integration will work well I could see using this in bedrooms or at the entrance to the house. I’m assuming as it’s Android we can run Kodi remote control and Smartthings etc..
