New Belkin WeMo Smart LED Lighting Starter Set

Earlier today Belkin announced the availability of their new WeMo LED Lighting Starter Set and WeMo Smart LED Bulbs. The addition to their already well established smart home lighting system that allows users to control, schedule, customise and dim household lighting from anywhere using the WeMo app on a their iOS or Android device.

The WeMo LED Lighting Starter Set includes two WeMo Smart LED Bulbs and a WeMo Link to introduce smart lighting into the home, with more WeMo Smart LED Bulbs available to purchase separately to expand the experience. As easy as replacing a standard light bulb, the LED Bulbs work with the Link to connect to a home’s Wi-Fi network and are controlled via the WeMo app. Users can customise lighting schedules based on their personal routine or time them to the sunrise or sunset. Additional solutions can include setting a vacation mode to simulate occupancy, or a dim-to-sleep feature, which programs the light to gradually fade until completely switched off, over a set period of time.

The LEDs are standard A-19 bulb size, available in screw or bayonet base and can be controlled individually or in groups with a maximum of 50 bulbs supported by one WeMo Link. The 10 watt energy-efficient bulbs produce the same amount of light as a traditional 60 watt bulb. Belkin say the bulbs produce 800 lumens and at 3000 kelvins, they give off a bright, warm, light while being fully dimmable.
