Bromsgrove based company, Byron, have won a lucritive contract to supply all 330 stores in the B&Q chain with their new Home Automation products. The “Home Easy” range is made up of over 60 wireless modules and Byron claim an average home can be fully automated from as little as £500. The range will launch across the UK stores from the 17th of September.
Acclaimed as the ultimate collection, offering leading edge technology at affordable prices, ‘Home Easy’ includes more than 60 different yet compatible wirefree items. These range from a basic remote socket kit to operate lights or electrical appliances at the touch of a button, to a sophisticated SMS base station unit which, can send message instructions to activate equipment from anywhere in the world.
“As far as we are aware this is the first time that this type of advanced technology has been used in such an affordable, easy to install way and using such a wide choice of products,” said Simon Lane, Managing Director of the Worcestershire based family business.
“An average home can be fully automated for as little as £500 providing the ultimate in convenience and energy saving advances. It is definitely the future,” he added.
To develop ‘Home Easy’ and meet B&Q’s stringent requirements Byron sought the expertise of a West Midlands based consultancy specialising in health care equipment.
The contract will see ‘Home Easy’ products in all 330 of B&Q’s warehouses and stores from 17th September 2007.”
