    EvoHome Hot Water Temperature

    Hi,

I've recently had Evohome fitted with the hot water kit. Just wondering what experiences people have had with the hot water temp reading.

Mine currently only seems to go up to 40 despite the water being much hotter than this out the tap. Any ideas on what the issue could be?

    Cheers.

Go into installer mode and check the hot water temperature and differential settings, also check the on off times

Is it a vented or unvented cylinder?
Has the existing wired thermostat been left in place?

    As always pictures please

      It's a vented cylinder.
Nope, the thermostat on the boiler has been replaced as you can see in the image. I'm not sure what has happened with the insertion sensor, if its been wired to an existing sensor as the one that came with the kit is still in the box!

      Cheers.

The relays and sensor are incorrectly positioned
Need to be at least 300mm apart

Ok. I thought they were all a little close. I've just adjusted the temp and the differential on the water, I'll see how that affects things.

          Thanks for the assistance.

There are two sensors in the box, one for vented and one for unvented. The one you have left is the one for unvented cylinders. What target temperature was it set to in the service menu? The differential is the amount of "slack" before hot water is switched on again after reaching target temperature. So if the target temperature is 60 degrees and the differential is 10 degrees, that means that once it reaches 60, it will wait until it drops to 50 before it starts heating again.
