Although not exactly what you asked for, you can simply set a button to drive the "Toggle" connection. This will take it from current automated state to opposite (manual), then to the opposite state...

If you want to use the same outside light level sensor but have a different set of thresholds for different rooms you can do this by adding a second light level object. In it's connections you set...
I got Cepstral Millie ages ago, still seems to work. Also tried the AT&T Audrey, but don't use it, can't remember whether it was because of problems or just didn't like the accent.
Not sure about...
I updated successfully today.
The most useful thing is to reset the address to FFFE so that you don't accidentally get an address collision later. This can be done with the node profiler, select the NIDs and change all addresses....
I have QRIs front-ended with 2-4A MCBs, don't have QLDs, so can't speak for them.
The Pro's
More convenient if an MCB trips rather than a QRI fuse blows
Provides a convenient method of isolating...
Commissioning during building is a fraught time. It's worth thinking about putting in temporary light switches instead of modules so that your modules are not exposed to damage.
You could also...
DBI - can be configured to make the two buttons toggle between Cortex driven and Reflex driven, so gives a very user-friendly emergency interface to force Reflex mode on.
I'm on the cusp of trying Cortex on Parallels on a Mac Mini ... :)
Actually, it depends ...
If you stop the network, the default is to stop updating modules but also disable any watchdog function. This means the modules should remain in their last programmed...
I think you can send IR packets from Cortex macros, so you could construct your sequence from one of those.
If you want several it's always worth asking for a better price...
Sorry - was on holiday in a hole with sporadic connectivity...
err.. well, I *should* have carefully selected the correct device to use based on my knowledge of electronics and examining the...
I be interested in the details of your dimmer since I have a similar RGB strip in my study and want to do the same thing.
I've always fancied being able to do interesting things with the color,...
OK, useful info - but I assume that electrically actuated valves at the higher temp rating are readily available these days?
PS: I'm not worried about the pipe being uninsulated - the run is about 2m total from boiler to mixer. Since showers occur once a day I don't think the heat loss is significant given the low volume...
I've got a clip-on thermistor sensor (Rapid Electronics) that monitors the temp of the hot feed to the mixer. Actually got others just logging CH pipes too. These feed into QAI.
Using the shower...
Idratek have a strong bias to "real" automation, which is the goal of not needing user controls because the system "does the right thing". This is one aspect that differentiates them from other...
Pretty easy to do this. You'd need a suitable electrically actuated valve for the diversion, presumably CH type valves would work (or you have the valves already). You'd also need a temperature...
You are in the shower and hence invisible to the PIR, since IR doesn't get through glass very well. Someone comes in and then leaves. Cortex logic treats the occupancy as pulled out and since there...
Lovely piece of lateral thinking. I had been considering using a twin type box potentially screwed to a plank of wood, but two single pattresses glued back to back would be much neater.
I sometimes think we forget how lucky we are ;)
There have been at least 4 different ways to automate a power outlet discussed, offering various compromises between amount of rewire and visible...
I've been thinking along similar lines since I have structured wiring and am fed up with X10.
Technically the Regs don't apply because it's not fixed wiring. It would not be hard to do this in a...
Yup. Like many other things these days, somewhat dubious statistics are rolled out to justify the ever increasingly onerous regulations.
This is the radial scheme I mentioned.
Depending on you house layout you might find somewhere convenient on each floor - perhaps understairs for ground floor, back of a cupboard on a first floor....
