Hi all,
I've left the system alone for a while, but I've just had the urge to have a fiddle again!
I've interfaced the heatmiser thermostats to Cortex (via XaP) so I can now see the temperature in each room and whether the heating is on. In a couple of rooms I'd like to open the skylight if it gets a bit hot (chance would be a fine thing). The skylights are already happily on motor control.
I was looking for something like "open the window if the temperature is greater than 24C and the heating is not on. Close the window if the temperature falls or at 9:00pm regardless". I'm sure I can do this with thermostat thresholds and some general logic. I was thinking it might be more elegant to use the fan control object as I think that gives me all I want (time windows, threshold, and if I connect the "heating on" input to the fan block input the heating inhibit).
Any views, better solutions?
