How to connect Kat 5 into current setup?

I'm looking at the Kat 5 units for distributing video from sky box to another room.

I currently have an Amstrad (think its a '200' something box) with 2 scarts and rf. The RF out is currently used for distrib to other rooms but its pants on quality. The scart out is set to RGB on sky config and goes straight to the in-room tv.

How would I go about connecting Kat 5 into this setup to take svideo & sound?

(i.e. do I need some kind of scart splitter on the main scart out? If so, do I need to drop down to svideo for the main tv? or is it possible to use the second scart at svideo?)

    Thanks in advance.

If it is a SKY+ box you can use the S-Video and Phono outputs to feed a KAT5 transmitter.

If it is a normal SKY Digibox then it doesnt have an S-Video option anyway.
You will need an RGB2Svideo converter from JS Technology

    This has three SCART sockets

    1. RGB in from Digibox
    2. RGB out to your existing TV
    3. S-Video out to feed a KAT5 Transmitter

You will just need a couple of extra SCART leads to connect everything up.

    Hope that helps

      It does, thanks.

I have the regular digibox so it looks like the converter widget ot an upgrade to Sky+.

        Hi,

I have a normal Sky box and it does have s-video out, so check first.
