Prairie Ronde, Louisiana – Tee-Boy today is pleased to announce the release of WeatherSnoop 2.0 for Mac OS X. Designed to procure, analyze and publish weather data, WeatherSnoop interfaces with a wide variety of personal and professional weather stations as well as Internet-based data sources.
This new release includes the all-new and highly requested graphing feature. WeatherSnoop 2.0 now produces full color graphs of your historical data for trending an analysis. You can select the value and the range to view your data with just a click of the mouse. Also featured in WeatherSnoop 2.0 is support for two professional weather stations: the Peet Bros. ULTIMETER 100/800/2000/2100 and the RainWise MKIIICC-LR computer interface.
“We are extremely pleased to provide Mac weather enthusiasts with support for these two quality weather stations,” said Boisy Pitre of Tee-Boy. “Both Peet Bros. and RainWise readily provided support and expertise in adapting their respective stations to WeatherSnoop, and we’re happy to have partnered with them.”
“As a manufacturer of weather instruments since 1974, we’re excited to announce a new partnership with Tee-Boy to sell WeatherSnoop,” said Lonnie White of RainWise. “Having offered PC software with our equipment for many years, having a Mac version will undoubtedly increase our appeal. Over the years, we have turned away many people looking for a Mac-based solution. It will be refreshing to now say ‘yes, we support the Mac!'”.
About WeatherSnoop: WeatherSnoop makes it easy for your Mac to interface directly to one of many popular weather stations or an Internet-based data source such as Weather Underground. Watch your weather come to life with beautifully rendered instruments and gauges that show temperature, wind, rain, and more changing in real-time. Once your weather data is obtained from the selected source, it can be published to Internet-based weather services such as Weather Underground and the Citizen Weather Observer Program. Your weather data is also available via an XML feed using WeatherSnoop’s built-in web server, so other applications can obtain the latest weather quickly and easily.
The Weather Report feature summarizes the current weather conditions in a concise and easy to read format, and can even be read aloud. And since all weather values are archived in a fast and compact SQLite database, they can be edited or exported to a spreadsheet using the built-in Data Custodian.
