Ikea ‘NITTIO’ Bulbs Give Cool Edison Filament Look with 1.8w LED Efficiency

Wandering around the Ikea lighting department at the weekend I found these cool looking Edison style “NITTIO” bulbs.

They cost £10 for the 12 cms polycarbonate globe, E27 version in the photos and there’s a slightly smaller 9 cm E14 version for £7 too. Available in either silver or copper finish. Both units use an LED luminous flux and consume just 1.8 watts.

No products found.

We set them up at home on the 45cms “HEMMA” lamp bases (£8) and are using SmartThings outlets to control them.

Unfortunately they’re not available to buy online from Ikea, although there are some available (at inflated prices) on Amazon and eBay currently.

    Are they dimmable?

  2. @Michael – not tried but doubt it. Not advertises as dimmable. But at 1.8w they just provide a warm glow so doubtful you’d want to dim any further.

  3. We bought one four months ago for £12 …..supposedly they have a lifespan of 25000 hours, ours died this week!!
