Samsung Galaxy Tab

Sponsored Post : With the world going tablet mad, the launch of the new Samsung Galaxy Tab in stores across the UK this month is causing a bit of a stir.  Supported by the latest Android Honeycomb operating system, this thin slice of high tech has everything from enhanced graphics to the latest apps and it will transform the way you work and play.

Featuring a special Touchwiz 4.0 interface for intuitive navigating plus cool new features like the Live Panels and Mini Apps Tray ensure that fingertip multitasking is effortless and fast.  The Tab also features various ‘Hubs’ for entertainment found through Samsung’s Readers Hub, Music Hub and Premium Social Hub.

In addition the system supports a multitude of audio formats / codecs (MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, WMA and RA) plus a similarly wide range of video playback options too (WMV9, WMV8, WMV7, H.264, MPEG4, H.263 and VP8 ).

I bought one of these last month and love it. The screen is superb if a little shiny when outside but is still very usable.
The battery seems to last forever and I can get a good days use out of it when travelling with push email active over GPRS.
I have shown it to a number of my friends with an iPad 1 or 2 and they said they wanted to sell the iPad and buy one! :o)
The Samsung case is worth having as protection and doubles as a nice stand for viewing. Great for flights when used for music or video. Using a noise cancelling headset works fine in flight mode but there is a lot of noise when GSM is active but this is not the case with the standard headset.
If you want something other than Apple and also need GPRS (I do as there is very little in the way of free WiFi around Jakarta) then the Glalaxy Tab 10.1 is a good choice.
