Thanks DBMandrake, I'll get the valve swapped next time we have a plumber out to service the boiler.
Hi, I have one radiator out of 12 in my evohome system that doesn't seem to be closing so the room is overshooting. It's one of these which I'm struggling to identify:
...
As far as I can tell there is no pump speed setting. Pump speed might be the issue though as I've noticed the boiler seems to be cycling even when the rooms aren't up to temperature.
I've checked the return temperature at the boiler and it's only luke warm to the touch.
The boiler should be big enough. It's a Worcester Bosch greenstar 42cdi classic in a fairly standard 4 bed...
The radiators sometimes get hot and sometimes don't put I haven't managed to pin down the pattern yet (i.e what was the boiler doing and what were other zones set to at the time).
I think that...
I closed the lockshield down this morning for that room and the landing as both were very warm but no extra heat in the living room. Looks like I'll have to do a proper balancing to see if that...
You might be onto something there, prior to investing in Evohome my daughters room was colder than the rest of the house (3 external walls) so I opened the lockshield up fully, thinking this would...
I am now thoroughly confused, I removed the living room hr92 (and the screw on part too) and the radiator has been piping hot and also cold tonight with seemingly no correlation with system demand...
Both lockshields are fully open, I've tried taking the trv off and it does sometimes get warm but haven't established a pattern yet.
When I talked about it being in series I meant with a radiator...
Hi jvallis, thanks for the suggestion but I'm actually already using the controller as the sensor in that room. It does have 2 radiators but only one with a trv valve currently so only one hr92. If...
Thanks everyone for your input. So far my wife and I are actually on the same page with the temperatures!
The radiators in our house are column style radiators which I think are primarily...
Wow, thanks DBMandrake for the very comprehensive answer! I'm using the evohome controller in the living room because the Hr92 is behind the sofa but the other rooms should have reasonable...
Hi All,
I'm new to the forums and just installed my evohome system last night.
I set the schedules up with 19 as my "comfortable" temperature and 16 as an overnight/empty room temperature. This...
