Hi all,
Hopeing someone can answer this... the DHW part of my parents Evohome system has been playing up over the last few months. At first we thought it was a dead relay box, so replaced that...
Just picked up a Lyric C1 cam to give it a go, useful for keeping an eye on the dog whilst we're out.
I have a few IP Cams connected to Blue Iris software, and would love to be able to use it to...
it's ridiculous but it has to be that way apparently (what's even more ridiculous is that the boiler isn't even a condensing one!). I remember the pipework being put in when I was a teenager. I...
How does one go about getting access to the customer-only section of the forum? When I registered, I had to input an order number, but am still not able to access?

Ok, apologies for leaving it so long to post.
I am pleased to say a replacement BDR91 DHW relay seems to have solved the problem. All zones are now working properly, and the DHW responds to...
Ok, bit of an update. I have factory reset the evohome again and this time completely ignored the DHW system, instead just binding the boiler relay and rooms. So far (touch wood) it is working ok,...
The controller is only approx 12 feet from the wireless relays anyway, but yes had tried moving closer :(
I suspect either the DHW relay or the evohome unit itself. Obviously, a replacement BDR91...
The Evohome controller is not the WiFi version, it's the earlier one with separate gateway.
The BDR's are mounted approx 600mm apart, on brick wall. See photo...

Ok, have spent about 6hrs last night and this morning trying to make sense of what is going on by phone and by facetime. Long story short - I can't! :(
After trying everything else, my last resort...
didn't think of that, hehe. Will have to get them to look when I get home from work. Ta
Hi,
My parents have an Evohome system installed, 4 Zones, DHW and gateway.
This morning they woke up to no heat, no hot water and solid red light on the wireless relay for DHW. The controller...
Thanks for all your replies.
The new cylinder is in and working perfectly...

The Evohome insertion probe will have to go into the thermostat pocket on the top left of the...
Thanks for replying,
So you suggest adding the Evohome insertion probe to the same insertion pocket as the existing thermostat? I am assuming the existing thermostat must remain in place?
Would...
Hi all,
My parents have been using Evohome for over a year now, with great success. But now they are having their hot water system converted from gravity feed to mains pressure. The unvented...
Obviously with this being your trade, I accept what you say as correct. However, I'm a sucker for knowing "why"! (sorry!)
My question is this... Evohome completely changes the dynamics of a...
Well I've come up with a way, kindof.
I ordered one of these, which came yesterday:

After getting Evohome temperature graphs working, I was wondering if there is any way to monitor/log boiler demand? Is there some sort of datalogger that could monitor the output voltage from the...
Should be fine, I've hung plenty of radiators before, just never worked with this plastic microbore pipe. I did replace rads in both bathrooms with towel rails earlier this year, no problems.
...
ok, cheers.
How difficult would it be to extend the 10mm plastic pipe? Can it be joined?
one thing I am slightly worried about is the ability of the small pipes supplying the rad to cope with the increased output of a larger rad. They are (as is typical in new build houses) 10mm plastic...
it looks like it is a type 22 double convector:

It's just strange because other rooms in the house don't seem to have much bigger rads and heat up much more quickly:
Kitchen - 6.1m x...
but the radiator is getting up to a good temp, 66C plus as measured at the surface with a cheapo thermocouple thermometer. Water temp inside will be higher I'd imagine. Would it be doing this if...
Here's one I've just done on the City Plumbing website:
692
It's suggesting 5042 BTU/hr, or 1.48kW. I honestly have no idea what the radiator is rated at, can't see a manufacturer on it...
Curtains are never closed, so as not to impede the radiator. Yup, convector fins present. Boiler is an 18kW condensing unit, boiler temp is set to the "e" (which is about 75% of max) as the engineer...
