Theres some bits still here http://web.archive.org/web/20070315165018/http://www.eatworms.org.uk/ha/callerid.php
Listing the components as;
1x 326770 - 6N137 Optocoupler
1x 3025020 - ST232CN...
Long may you continue, I ordered some DS18S20's off you a week or so ago, saved my life as the alternative was ordering them from somewhere far far away and who knows how long they would take to get...
I don't know anything about the alarm receiver so will have to leave that one sorry.
One possibility would be to future proof would be to wire a thermostat (I think you need a no volt contact or...
The thermostat transmits 'extended' X10 codes which cannot be picked up by the CM15/CM11 - it needs to be something that can pick up these extended codes - the alarm receiver being one such device...
Not sure what device your using but it could be possible to use the 10A relay to trigger a 16A relay (or ebay for the word 'contactor' instead and you can find some that look easier to wire)....
P = IxV = 10x230 = 2300W = 2.3kW
whether you have 230v coming into your house is another thing, that relay looks to do +10% so 253V and -15% which is 195.5V. A quick google says the average UK...
Can't say i've ever seen a X10 module with a relay rated for 240v (that did'nt output a voltage, you may be able to hack a module but not sure i'd like that).
An alternative is an X10 appliance...
Welcome to the madness :)
If you do a search there are a load of threads about along similar lines and theres about a hundred different ways of doing what you are after, its a fine balance of...
Sorry, but AFAIK none of those combinations work - HomeEasy does not talk to X10, not sure on byebye standby talking to homeeasy, but I know that X10 does not talk to BBSB.
I found a filter on eBay (the kind I think you can fit to certain sensitive computer equipment) and it did kind've work with an X10 problem I was having - cost £5 but may not work for everyone.

HomeSeer may be slight overkill for what you are after, although it can be very powerful and can support an iPhone interface (which I use)...in short HomeSeer supports the control of X10 (& Z-Wave...
Yes basically, plugged a Current Cost IAM into the wall, then plugged an X10 module into it, then the appliance into that - so essentially you control the device with X10 and get the power use from...
Hi
You've certainly done a fair bit of research but theres a load there i've never heard of (and i'm sorry but I doubt your going to find many people that have experienced all of them), I would...
I don't think there are any straightforward out of the box solutions (entirely possible with DIY though - PIC and a Triac, depends on your level of electronics knowledge) that are USB dimmer modules...
You can run multiple sound cards on one PC which is one route you could go down, windows can be funny about some of them and may be OK with others...you can then run multiple instances of some audio...
X10 works by Powerline Communication, the transmitter will send a data burst on top of the AC waveform (at the zero crossing) across the cable to the receiver which will have a small microcontroller...
Hi...
You have a good start being an electrician, thats one hurdle out of the way!
It might be best deciding what sort of protocol you wish to use first, you have X10, ZWave, CBUS, HomeEasy,...
As toscal says, last I knew they were CurrentCost meters with the EON badge - I would say by now they are the CC classic with the history output, BUT you could end up with the original version that...
I've checked and it looks like you can switch 16A with the micro module so you might be OK, are you happy using other switches? I don't think your going to be able to use the ones from earlier, might...
I know what you are saying about the plugin modules, but its a fact of life in the UK as there are US versions of wall sockets with inbuilt modules (well there is the X10 WS10 but you sacrifice a...
Just thinking aloud for a few seconds...
i) Check your back boxes are going to be deep enough to accept the micro modules, you may have some difficulty with lighting back boxes as I believe most...
With the caveat that i've never used anything else I'm quite happy with my HomeSeer install. Whilst its not that cheap you can start off basic and then work your way up.
Energy monitoring can be...
I'm running Linux HomeSeer HSTouch on my Joggler and its working OK on the Ubuntu version...serving my HA setup reasonably well at the moment. Its not particularly a cheap solution though.
I use HomeSeer, whilst I have zero experience with anything else I know it supports ZWave and the iPad (but you have to design your own user interface) - its not that expensive.
I've never used...
