It is a "Myson Kickspace 600" and is working very well. It is controlled using a FHT80B Stat and actuator on a TRV. It works in conjunction with the boiler connect component.
I also find this all a bit confusing as to what works with what. This is what I ordered from Conrad for my system:
- 620371 - "FHZ 1300 Radio Home Centre PC"
- 750407 - "Radio heating thermostat...
I have an FHT8W and looking in the instruction manual it doesn't say that it works with the HomeMatic system.
It specifies that it communicates with all control units within the FHT system, i.e....
I am not sure exactly why the FHT-80B seems to be slightly inconsistent between different devices. The actuator in my dining room never seems to open 100% even when I set it to 30C. I have also...
Replied via PM :)
AFAIK you can only use one of either a FHZ1000 or a FHZ1300 as the FHT80B can only connect to one central device. So if you want to use PC control via the FHZ1300 then you can't use the FHZ1000 -...
A somewhat belated reply to this thread but I have finally got FHEM working on my NSLU2 using Linux Ubuntu and am using my iPhone to view the room temperatures :)
The problem I was having with...
I have but following your prompt, I tried another one with the same result i.e. still getting the CRC errors.
However, I have now got it working in the XP VM using theFHZ1XXXPC software that came...
Between the 1300 and the NSLU2.
No I haven't yet but that is a good approach. I was thinking to try the s/w that came with the 1300 (running in a WinXP VM). If that works, to try FHEM in Ubuntu...
The NSLU2 appears to connect to the FHZ 1300PC OK according to FHEM's log. However, the log (verbose 4 is set) also shows a lot of CRC / Bogus message errors received from the FHZ 1300PC. I only got...
That's good to hear - good luck with your new system. I have found the individual room / radiator control to be excellent.
I am now trying to get my FHZ 1300PC to work on my NSLU2 following...
OK, I will post back here (within a couple of days) exactly how I did it when I update my system :)
Just a couple of other thoughts, when in learning mode are any of the segments shown as filled -...
Is the FS20 UTS Universal transmitter of any use. Conrad have spelt the name incorrectly, so just search for 'FS20 UTS' on their site :)
It is a while since I did mine but I have to include some new FHT 80B's into my system within a couple of days - so that will help refresh my memory ;)
Presumably you have put the FHT 8W into...
1st Question - probably of many ;) - I have installed Slug_OS and have been following your notes. All seems to have gone well until I get to the following statement:
perl -i -p -e 's/XSUBPP \=...
I have done a bit more reading on this now an think I understand a bit more about XAP :o
I suppose what I am ideally looking for is some way that I can have an App on my iPhone linking to the NSLU2...
Thanks for this - I am now about to dig out my NSLU2 and try this out - I'll let you know how I get on :)
Presumably FHEM on the NSLU2 is accessed via a web browser?
Thanks for the suggestion - I have now ordered one :)
I suspect this may help quieten things down even when just one rad is left open?
Just adds a little more plumbing work when I drain down the...
I have now installed the FHT 8W Demand Control Heating Relay and my system is now under 'Conrad' control. It is proving to be very flexible.
However, I do have one issue which I am wondering...
I agree that it is disappointing that you can't see the actual room temperature from the room stat AFAIK. However, you can see it from the FHZ1000 controller.
I have investigated this a bit further with a neighbour and he has pointed out that the kickspace heater has an integral heat sensor that won't switch the fan on until the water gets hot (43 C) -...
Thanks for the info :)
Looking on their site I couldn't find any reference to this. Is it part of the FS20 system and therefore integrated with it?
Thanks for the suggestion - I think I will go with Option2 - more work but a better integrated system :)
I also got my kit on Christmas Eve (from Conrad UK) - FHZ1000 control unit x 1, FHT8W boiler relay x 1, FHT80B Thermostat + Radiator Actuator x 3. Having done a basic implementation to test out the...
