    Re: Scripting Assistance.

    Try this within your script.

    In this example "A1" would be your lamp

    For the daytime use i.e. lamp is off:

    Status=hs.devicestatus("A1")
    If Status=3 then
    hs.execX10 "A1","on"
    hs.waitsecs 1

  6. Re: Are X10 modules all destined to fail after 2-3 yrs?

    The only thing that regularly fails with me is the CM11/12 computer module. Normally lasts 1-2 years before a burn out. All the rest including LD11's (4 years) have never failed and used all the time.

    Re: Dimmer Switch Question

    In simple terms, yes. A standard household dimmer chops the AC waveform to reduce the brightness. They are not 100% efficient which is why they still get hot. Now the technical explanation:

  11. Re: What cameras work with Homeseer. or doesn't it matter.

    Homeseer's web server uses server side processing (ASP/ASPX) so anything is possible if you are willing to learn the programming. If you look at my cameras at http://www.jon00.me.uk/hs.html, this...
