They work fine. Done loads like that. Although, you should be looking to pay around £25+VAT. £60 is way over priced for Chrome.

The 3 port should have been replaced when the cylinder was fitted, it's part of the regs for the Unvented and classed as a safety device. As a 3 port can never fully close so you cannot cut off the...

For a Unvented Cylinder the High Limit stat MUST be wired in series with the BDR91, and the Cylinder must have it's own 2 Port valve (Not allowed a 3 port).

You can easily do HW priority using the CH and HW relays without any additional relays. Just take the Feed from C on the HW to A on the CH relay. You can even add in a two way switch to switch the HW...

Yep, I noticed the issue over 12 months ago. No way round it. I changed my CH valve for a NO valve instead, as number of issues with the CH relay, HW priority and Opentherm mixed together.

I have a Main and have an X plan.

Evohome does differentiate between HW & CH. When my Opentherm requests HW reheat, it demands an 80oc flow temp. On CH it modulates to what it likes, which is...

Doesn't work well with Opentherm. I ended up changing my NC Motorised valve to a NO one as per the old system before the Firmware update.

The issue is Opentherm fires the boiler for low flow...

The only reason I said Baxi was their boilers are OK, and they work well with Opentherm. The new 600/800 series are good little boilers, and i'd have one in my own home.

Personally as an installer I wouldn't have Intergas or Ravenheat.

Your issue with the big manufactures like Vaillant and Worcester want you to use their own control systems.

    Baxi invested...

Using Gas, different ones operate differently. Some use the plate heat exchanger, other's work a bit like a traditional system then switch over into combi mode.

IMO they're a waste of time. You...

My go to would probably be a Worcester HighFlow 440/550, or a Vaillant EcoTec Plus 938. Although the Vaillant's tank is only 20l so tbh I don't think it gives you any benefit over the 838.

Let me know how you go on.

In terms of savings, I think i've saved 30% in gas over the last week. Doing readings over a longer period to see how it goes.

Ended up fitting a NO Motorised valve to sort the issue. Shame it couldn't be sorted software based, as in my eyes it's a relatively straight forward fix.

Thanks, as I suspected. Glad it isn't just mine, just defeating the object of OT and HW priority features.

Yes it does indeed. My boiler is firing with a low flow temp and with nowhere for it...

No it doesn't. Some of the larger models do, but if you wanted to use an additional pump you'd just usually wire it to the S/L from the motorised valves.

It manually open should be fine for now....

Have you checked to make sure your CH valve is actually open though? Just out of interest.

As I say the boiler works fine, just it can’t pump the heat anywhere as the CH valve stays closed below...

Yeah I can’t do that using the A B C that’s my main issue, other than hold the valve open 24/7 with 240v which will knacker it in. So it’s clicked open manually.

Before you could get it to open...

I suspect it has something to do with TPI. Although in this case the Opentherm bridge isn't the issue, it's the CH relay that is. So in theory when its acting as a CH relay for HW priority it should...

Thanks. It's a S plan system with the CH and HW bound under system summary as 'Two 2 Port Valves'.
