Think I’ve answered my own question but thoughts welcome.
I just noticed one of two radiators in a room was receiving hot water and not the other, or at least one of them was receiving...
Sorry to drag up an old thread.
Are you guys saying that when set as a ‘single zone’ the multiple HR92’s all open the same amount as the master, first bound HR92?
This seems a bit counter...
But the standard answer from Honeywell and some others on the forum is that Evohome doesn’t need weather compensation.
I disagree with this as when the temperature suddenly devates from ‘the norm’...
My had been around 30 minutes fast for months. In the last couple of weeks it’s decided to become very accurate in the minutes, however it was now an entire hour behind! The date is correct.
I...
Can’t you go back to DIYnot already?
The advise of isolating power to the boiler was fine. No need to get so offended and take the attitude everyone else is completely dumb just because you mess...
Yep it’s been crap for me ever since the browser based version was annocued.
That’s great but doesn’t help people with combi boilers or heating systems designed not to pump hot water around a heating circuit instead of just heating the tank.
Where you want to control towel radiators.
I have the update too.
I still experience the boiler running or being started well after I have turned the heating off though.
Would be nice if one day it could be fixed so that turning off the...
Never gonna happen.
The confusing part is that Honeywell don't appear to have a replacement/equivilent product either.
I'd like to see a contender to Evohome too.
Honeywell seem to have forgotten about it and it's becomming the iPod of the thermostat/heating world.
I too suffer from the boiler demand occurring...
Think you'd be better off contact Honeywell directly and asking them.
As the web interface deals with pairing the devices one would assume that the serial numbers etc are checked on the server side...
I don't disagree with what you're saying here in general and maybe my case is not typical. But I can see the flow and return temperatures of my boiler and I know that regardless of how many radiators...
Thanks Rameses thats kind of you.
This doesn't make sense on a modern heating system, every radiator in my house has its own flow and return feed so there's no way to flush it with cold water by another HR92 onpening.
I factory...
This would be less of a problem if Honeywell stopped removing features/control instead of adding them of course...
Can't say I need it or that its adding too much over the alarm I have which was installed as the house was built in 2014, but I could be tempted ;)
As with evohome for heating, I just wish...
I guess an advantage to the GPRS model is that if you don't have your internet connectivity running on UPS's then in the event of power failure you can still interact with the GPRS based system.
NFC only works across a few centimetres so fat chance of that.
Theres also no access to the NFC capabilities of the iPhone available to developers anyway so it would never be possible.
lol!
Theres no way around that type of problem this unless you have multiple fobs or tags for each person.
You'd have to set all the sensors in the places you want to be able to move around in as...
You take the fob to bed with you and turn it off when needed before going downstairs.
Or disarm it on the iPhone app?
Or buy another tag reader panel and stick upstairs somewhere.
I agree, seeing as at least some customers would be replacing existing systems you'd think that there were wired versions of parts available rather than making them all battery powered.
If I was to...
I don't think anyone is ignoring your information evohomeshop but Honeywell asked for feedback and this is clearly a fundamental issue of them getting the basics wrong with what they market as a...
I'm glad some other people are reporting the same issues I had in the beginning with the battery charging. There's clearly a design fault with something. I never take my unit off the wall mount so...
I tested mine today and it lasted around 6 hours with no use.
So the couple of things I mentioned above did resolve the issue.
