@kevinsmart what's the trick to get the HM80 bound with the WiFi Evohome controller? I have simply connected power to the HM80. It comes on with Led 2 Green , Led 3 Green and Led 4 Red Flashing. When...
Using the max setpoint to determine that DHW is being called for won't give the desired outcome because often the CH demand is also set to the same max by the OTB for no good reason and that is when...
That's the thing. I have an EcoTec Plus 438, it doesn't even have the 24V inputs on the PCB. Even to get OT to work, I had to play with the terminal 7-8-9, contrary to all advice in the manuals...
On the eBUS side there doesn't appear to be any indication of a difference between the two Heat Demands.
Hence why I was surprised when @kevinsmart reported in another thread that the OT messages...
Yes a VR33
I have not seen these issues. But then again, I have an OT to eBUS converter between the OTB and my Vaillant Boiler. But low modulation of a boiler becomes quite important with OT. You boiler just...
This has got to be the most severe bug that exists on the Evohome system today. I can't think of a bigger issue.
The bug of not periodically resetting TRVs back to the Heating Off, during Heating...
Understood, I am really hoping that the manifold TRV now serves as a fail safe, rather than my only defence against 65C water being pumped round my ufh, in case something happens to the TRV. I say...
I finally managed to find a brand new HM80 and the associated 20K NTC flow sensor for sale.
I have no idea what the new solution for a mixer valve control is meant to be if HM80 is now considered...
The bug that keeps the batteries within the control panel topped up has not been implemented. So by the time you need the backup of the batteries, the batteries have self depleted. This is quite a...
Wow, Electric zone was introduced almost 4 years ago now.
My DT92E relay set came with the DTS92E Thermostat inside it.
We need someone who has bought an extremely recent set to chime in. I understand that evohome controllers are now being sold with the latest firmware on them, those will be the sets to check.
If you know someone (think eBay) who needs a BDR91, then buying the set often works out cheaper.
On my HR80, when I first put the batteries in, the display shows me the firmware version. Does the HR92 not do that?
If the Viessmann Vitodens 111-W boiler's HW can be controlled using an external programmer, then it can be controlled using a relay. So does it? If all you want is app control of that HW switch then...
Why not two Evohome controllers, for each end of the house? Then you can decide if you want to add radiators controls or not at a later point. For now each can be controlling its own HW. A single app...
I too see this on the eBUS side on my Vaillant boiler and it often doesn't make any sense to me at all. I too have toyed with the idea of manually altering the Target Flow temperature requested on...
Does the HR92 display it's firmware version anywhere, either on a sticker or on start-up. IMHO Resideo actually do not handle part numbers very well, the latest BDR91 is quite different from the old...
Actually the controller no longer requests any OT data from the OT Bridge any more. Even Relative Modulation is lost but I spotted it on another message that was being received more frequently so...
Yup it is very bizarre and Resideo insist that no change has been made to OT as part of this firmware update, but as you have seen clearly they have.
Infact its quite the opposite. 65C comes in and the manifold is actually hardly taking any of that in, so most of that is going back to the boiler. What is your room stat in the UFH zone set to? It...
All older kit only sent a low battery warning e.g. HR80, DT92 etc. The newer kit HR92, T87 sends battery level. A few of us have a special box of low batteries just to test this :-)
Having the CH valve come on when the UFH is calling for heat is correct because the UFH is set up as a CH zone, so any demand in any CH zone will cause the CH valve to open. But none of that heat...
