Don't use non-rechargeable batteries (Alkaline or Lithium) in the Evotouch. Definitely not when it is on the mount as it will try to charge them, and even if you took them out before putting them on...
Only 1.5C error? Try 4-5 degrees for me. :) (At times when the temperature is rapidly increasing or decreasing - eg morning and evening with clear skies)
Can't speak for the HCF82 but the HR92 doesn't use a discrete bead of any sort, it uses a temperature measurement chip with a built in sensor.
I'm not sure what you're planning to do with it as a "floor sensor" - do you mean a sensor to measure the water temperature of wet underfloor heating or element temperature of electric under floor...
Welcome to the world of antiquated RF protocols which don't use acknowledgements to confirm that the target device actually received a message... ;)

After 5 years of using Evohome I have my first 62 degree phantom zone in the iPhone app... :P
I haven't touched a thing either - it's just appeared for no apparent reason. Haven't got around to...
Looks good but also looks like a lot of work!
Lets hope you don't need to do a warranty claim on that HR92 - I think the reseller would not be amused... :D
Probably lost in translation... :D
I've had a few failed zone change warnings myself recently via the Alexa integration.

Unfortunately the battery contacts are a weak point in the HR92 design - I've had to tighten the contacts on all of mine at some point, some...
Lots of points buried in there so I have a few questions:
I assume you have the HR92 set to display measured temperature rather than the set point?
How are you determining the valve hasn't...
We have two one year old radiators in the dining room that I installed when the room was renovated, a 4 year old radiator in the bathroom that I installed (which is already going rusty at the bottom...
The thread is moot now anyway. The guy came out to do the site survey and asked a few basic questions and quickly discovered that were weren't in fact eligible for the grant and was on his way. Seems...
"solution for the variable target flows"? I hope you don't mean by using an OpenTherm monitor?
If your boiler is leaving rooms at 3 degrees below their set points with a 40% TPI duty cycle then I'm pretty sure that your boiler is struggling to put out enough heat for the number of radiators...
That reminds me, I really must look at home assistant...
Thanks for the recommendations for Intergas. Not sure if that will be an option with grant funding or whether it will be a "here's what we're offering" situation. Will find out on Friday!

Hi All,
I know the information on which boilers do and don't play well with Evohome OpenTherm is buried in this forum somewhere, and I've read quite a bit of it in the past (and forgotten more...
Sounds like you had a faulty unit.
The best thing to do is buy high quality SD cards and of reasonable size if you want reliability and longevity. The write endurance difference between an el-cheapo and a good name brand like Samsung...

Optimal start only makes an adjustment of about 15 minutes per day for the start time.
So if you get a sudden weather swing from cold to hot and the actual needed warm up time of the room is now...
That's about what I'd expect. The reminder beep starts quite soon, but it should run for 2-3 hours before the big red warning that blocks the screen appears. If you leave it you'd probably find you...
