Been very weird since changing all the max temps. Some valves were making...
Yep - will do the HR92 reset. Nothing on the Controller end so no harm in clearing the HR92 out....
I agree with the remote access facility. You can use the App or the Evohome website. Take your pick.
If you forget to set it before leaving you can do it at the airport.
Ditto for return - just...
Thanks - normally I'm so good at finding things ... not this time it appears :-)
Have to change zone by zone, but all 12 now done.
For Honeywell: Setting default Min at 5c is very sensible,...
After 2 years of running our large Evohome setup a gremlin appeared.
Upstairs bedroom HR92 setpoint jumped to 34.5c all on it's own. Daughter (her bedroom) said "not me" .
There is nothing around...
My experience of over-spec'ing a radiator is that you will get temperature overshoots. Yes, it does heat up the room quicker but there is so much latent heat in the metal work and the large volume...
I'll connect the Controller to another WiFi AP as it we have multiple networks (large residence) and it's possible it's on a weak one.
Try again as from 10:00 am Friday 22nd.
Edit: Yep - I...
Still waiting for part 2 of the upgrade to complete. The WiFi firmware is now at 2, but the Application is still at 1.
I did reply to upgrade confirmation email but relevant person is now at home...
I switched it on to start with, but then after months of watching it (via own software and now Domiticz) I switched it off.
Reason being that different rooms have 'strange' characteristics and...
Guess I was suffering from shock because of the implementation....
It stops at the temperature - there is no "degree" word spoken .
EDIT:
Re not working for others... My WiFi Controller...

{good observation and very witty}
I just asked Alexa "what temperature is the Office Hallyway" to see if anything had changed - reply "inside is 19 degrees" - WOW
Tried again:
"what temperature is the Main Bedroom" - reply...
@DanD
1) Big thanks for the Domoticz software you've done. Just got a HGI80 and connected everything. Decided against running on a Pi and it now runs on a Windows Server 2012 R2 as a Service -...
@paul - no. I didn't look at Wireshark before I found this WiFi issue. For now the sessions shown on the Router from the Evohome Controller are always below 5 whenever I've looked at it. Before...
Just a follow up on this.
I have multiple WiFi networks around the house for different purposes. Including a couple of extenders to get to remote parts of the house.
The Evohome has been...
Just had another Alexa drop. Re-did Skill and all worked again - immediately (ie: 5 secs).
Mobile app and everything else was working fine.
I expected same and it is... Time for Sherlock Holmes hat...
20's would make more sense - mine is back around 250... even if you allowed a couple of connections per 'device' (of whatever description or purpose) if should be sub-50...
Time for Wireshark...
Just had a need to do some work on our Internet Router (a Draytek) and noticed the Evohome Controller had over 300 active connections to the outside world.
Seems a lot so I powered down the...
@philchillbill
Oh I do love good lateral thinking :)
Oh well - didn't last - had to disable/enable Skill again :-(
just to note it has now been 1 week with no lost connections - and I'm deliberately using it a couple of times each day.
I see from other Evo API usage and logging I have that the Honeywell servers...
Thanks for this @dty.
We all have "dirty" code as it's for us and not for a commercial product/team :)
I'm sure everybody who would like to use it would only be too happy to help with...
** good point on the only 1 Valve - that was something I remember from the beginning now.. the pipe runs around the different Rad groups are non-connected parallel pipes which are bridged when the...
Had same scenario just over a year ago with new boiler, pipes, rads etc. Big house sideways, not up/down.
Made the mistake of thinking Evohome is an add-on. It's not. It's core and the boss.
Had...
