The saga continues
This morning the heating didn't come back at all. Living room 1c below setpoint,
Two zones asking for 56 and 36% heat respectively but all rads cold
Had to put heating to...
Hello,
I know that boiler may be cycling when the set point is close to be reached however something strange has happend with my set up yesterday.
Boiler was set to max 60C for CH
I've...
I have intergas and OT as well but part of my problems are 8mm pipes. I think if I had 15mm rads would warm faster which would reduce cycling. I set anything below 40c to be ignored and it seems to...
After running evohome for 5 years - one with bdr91 and 4 with opentherm I came to the same conclusion. I removed hr92 from 4 out of 6 of my rads. So only have one hr92 plus evo as sensor on the...
That's defo an issue weather you use opentherm or bdr91. You can only try to mitigate an issue as there is no solution that will work for all.
You could check for example which hr92 is asking for...
Everyone's circumstances will be different boiler, diamater of heating pipes, insulation, opentherm. etc.
My 8mm pipes makes the entire system less efficient hence Im often adjusting/ changing...
I have set my boiler to ignore anything below 40c. This cuts the number of short boiler cycles when the water never/hardly reaches rads
It's affecting standard bdr91 too but with opentherm it's possible to ignore some low heat demand requests.
I'm not sure why is it so difficult to fix it. I went through entire troubleshooting with...
Unfortunately this is a known issue and no real solution, you could mitigate if your boiler allows to adjust Opentherm settings
I would remove hr92 from hallway if this is the one that calls for the heat the most.
This defo not what seeing with my set up. It's actually other way round.
When the ambient temp is 1c lower then set point the boiler hardly wants to come on. This may be a reason that I structed...
I would look into engineers menu, there is a possibility that boiler is set to on/off mode rather than opentherm
I would also limit max temp to 65 or 75 depending on weather.
That's an known issue with evohome, instead of shutting down the boiler keeps cycling. There are settings on my intergas with open therm i used to minimize cycling but with bdr I m not sure if...
It appeared on my app as well. Must be evohome devs stuff
Thanks for coming back. I just noticed the setting explanation in the manual.
Hello
I have the same boiler and did quite a lot of changes do to 8mm pipes. The biggest problem i had was lack of heat transfered to rads during low demand.
I fixed the issue by increasing min...
Ive seen this info but i dont think its correct.
When the livingroom for example will cool down to 15c, the boiler will need to work on 100% ch demand for good 2 hrs or longer (depending on...
Its a bit tricky.
We usually have it set between 19-20 during day.
Its a combined living room and digning room with 2 separate heaters (2 different zones following the same heating pattern)

Hello,
Whats everyone view on a temperature of a living room when unused at night?
I was keeping it at 18C at night, i think if i go lower takes too long to the living room to heat up in the...
There is an improvement this morning.
Yesterday i switched off warm weather saver.
It appears that it has a priority over cold weather boost.
This morning ive seen livingroom having a...
Indeed something not right here.
Ive mentioned that some time ago that some hr92 (when they are opened to 30/40) *dont get enough heat. But i think the latest fw improved this issue.
There is...
The heaters were at around 40% if i remember correctly, surely if after an hour evo cannot heat up a room the load should increase.
It appears to be waking up/increasing a load after manully...
Im not exactly what / why but there is something not right with heating since a time change.
I keep my livingroom at 18C at night usually, i schedules 19c from 6.30am but room never gets to 19...
I would recommend finding out if the issues are caused by evo or maybe you have boiler/system issue.
Resetting evo and rebinding wouldnt do harm, guides can be found on the internet. Evo support...
I dont think it works that way. They all work a bit independently to what i have found out.
