I'm pleased this solution is spreading, thanks to JohnnyP for the wiring details - if anybody has alternative solutions let us know. I've now increased the timer delay, the theory being that if the...
Folks, the info you have (and concerns) over ASHP's are likely based on out-dated systems - things have moved on.
I work for Mitsubishi Electric UK who manufacture a unit known as Ecodan, it's a...
In the defense of Honeywell perhaps it depends on the design philosophy behind the firmware. If the aim was to offer accurate temperature control in each zone, and quick reaction to heating demand,...
Don't see a problem, and it looks simpler than my set-up ! Needs a DIN rail to mount correctly but thats no big deal. Let me know how you get on...
I've used the following relay parts from RS Comp :
Relay = RS 256-5262
Socket = RS 329-9871
Timer = RS 329-9922
Clip = RS 231-2131
You can adjust the relay operation and delay, etc
I've done extensive testing with my Hometronic system, the HC60NG causes the cycling problem and the boiler is the victim. No matter what you do with set-back, temperatures, etc the system eventually...
The HC60NG has been cycling my boiler for some time now and slowly driving me crazy, so why I didn't think of this solution before now is a mistery !
I've added a 'time delay' relay into the...
Suggest you hassle the installer, then contact Mitsubishi direct as they approved them and no doubt want to protect the brand.
The design of ASHP systems relies on many factors when retro-fitting...
Many thanks, any info would be appreciated.
Is there any other way of (alternative module ?) of switching the boiler on ?:confused:
I was on LPG, my rate was 31.45p per litre and current electricity rate is 10p per kWhr.
A question to Sensible Heat folks, can the firmware within the boiler relay be modified to remove the annoying cycling problem ? The full details are no doubt a secret but increasing the 'deadband'...
Hi folks, I've had an Ecodan 14kW unit installed since Oct 08 and been very impressed indeed. The unit is giving COP's of between 3.0 & 4.5 when heating the house throughout the cold winter period,...
Not a problem, the system is outstanding in terms of simplicity in use and ability. The only downside is the cost I guess..?
I'm a fan however, the option to add various modules in the future is...
Ok, I've tried the options and can report back...
The system is working as intended, no faults (apart from the user)
As any of the HR80 valve heads reachs it's set-point it will send a request...
No red lights, no faults, no comms errors. I've spoken with 'sensible heat' who were very helpful, they say that if any HR80's are hovering close to the room set-point the HC60NG will start to cycle...
Thanks Toscal, it feel's like I've trawled the entire internet for an answer but without success and was hoping somebody else may have stumbled across a solution !
I've tried combinations of...
I am experiencing the Hometronic boiler cycling problem, does anybody please have a solution?
The equipment consists of HCM200D, HC60NG and HR80’s so it’s not very complex, despite numerous and...
