This is a very old thread but I'm considering Thermaskirt, or similar, in a north facing room that is not much used and suffers badly from condensation. My thinking is that heating in this way will...
I very occasionally get massive comms failures shown on my Evotouch controller. No obvious reason why. There have been threads discussing this in the past (maybe a couple of years ago) but I can't...
I think it's "why bother". I don't have one any more but the errors were not that frequent and it did seem to work when it needed to.
If it's an Evohome Touch, as far as I understand it, it doesn't use a gateway, just connect to your WiFi.

Bring back ethernet cables! Everything seems to be wifi only these days :(
Could this be a 2.4 vs 5GHz issue? My router was originally set up with both bands having the same name and I had to rename them so that an alarm would connect as it couldn't do 5GHz. I can't...
My 12 HR92s were installed in 2017. I've not had any problems when changing batteries as yet (fingers crossed).
Thanks, I'll keep an eye on eBay
I see, I don't use the controller as a temperature sensor so I've not noticed discussions about it.
I did use some alternative rechargeables for a while (can't remember which, they'd have been Sony or Uniross), without noticing any problems. I put the originals back as they still seem to work...
A bit of an old thread but this is just what I want to do as well. I have a small WC heated by a 750w oil filled radiator on a time switch. Using the built in stat in the rad doesn't work very well,...
My thoughts as well. I never turn the heating off, I just rely on Evohome. Works for me. In some rooms that we hardly ever use, the temps are set pretty low.
Thanks, never thought of Toolstation for batteries. Will give them a try.
This has been discussed in the past and GP Ultra generally seemed to come out well. I've used them for a few years and had no problems.
However, Battery Station, where I've been getting them don't...
Could this be relevant: https://www.automatedhome.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?6312-Evohome-app-showing-non-existing-zone
I think you'll find other references to phantom zones as well.
I...
So do these remove the need to balance the system? Nit sure I can understand how that could work..
Also, do they work with Evohome?
Interesting, please post if you do try one of these.
Not heard of it. Is it a replacement for Evohome or a supplement?
I have replaced my boiler and no longer need the following..
BDR91 wireless relay - £25
Hot water kit: CS92A Wireless Cylinder Thermostat, BDR91 Wireless Relay Box and a Strap-on Sensor (no...
Unfortuately, I'm not sure how to check the return temp. Domoticz, via the OTB, lists it as a parameter but it's constantly showing 71.7 deg. I do have a digital thermometer, so I'll play with that...
That's such a disappointment! I thought Evohome was seeing and using all this information. I also wonder how much of the info shown is reliable? I'm getting "Return Water Temperature" and "Outdoor...
Having just had an Intergas boiler installed, with an OpenTherm bridge, I'm impressed with the amount of additional information that has appeared in the Domoticz device list (see screenshot. Most of...
Thanks again. That's something that I'll have to remember to revisit when the weather gets colder. My installer mentioned that the power required for heating was much lower than for the DHW. I'll ask...
I’ve set this up and get an email when there’s a fault but the message is always “ Fault Logbook Usage is 4 [>= 1.0 ]”. I can’t get it to tell me what the actual fault is. Am I missing something?
