Hi all - I'm looking for info relating to using my Alexa with my Cortex - Can anyone please offer any advice
Hi Chris,
Using back never works for me - I don't think it has anything to do with the network as it makes no difference whether I'm using a PC on the same network or my phone either locally or...
Hi,
I frequently get problems when trying to connect with the mobile app or with a PC browser where I get an error message saying "frequency of requests too high" on an otherwise blank page. I get...
Hi - I had the same issue - Ended up attaching the thermistors to the side of the nuts of the tank couplings (as close as I could get to the body of the tank) with some heat transfer compound and a...
Karam - Good point - guess it really comes under the good old "if it ain't broke don't fix it". So really should be thinking of is it really worth the effort ??? and by the time I'm forced into...
Chris - It's the User Account Control. That annoying dialog box that pops up every time you try to do anything that may affect a system action. Can be turned off in control panel but do remember if...
Viv Hi - thanks for that. My installations are on Windows 7 but I l'm going to take a look at upgrading the backup PC first before doing the primary PC.
I know that there is work ongoing to sort a windows 10 compatible version of Cortex but is there any possibility of that becoming available before the 29th July deadline for the "free" Windows 10...
Martin, have you had chance to test the firmware Karam supplied - I'd like to know if it did the job as I'd like to see if that would resolve the issue for me as well...
Karam - The updated firmware worked spot on :) - Many thanks for you help in sorting this :)
Hi - Thanks for that - was beginning to make me wonder what was going on with getting it as a .zip when the file showed as a .apk ... :) - found that if I renamed the .zip to .apk it installed &...
Hi - just tried to download the notice board app and it's not an apk file but a zip one. Extracted the contents of this and still no apk... Am I doing it wrong or is there something not right with...
Chris - Tried the multiplexer gate and it doesn't actually help... if the light level is 1% and you for example multiply by 10 on the multiplexer you get 10% as the output - when the level changes to...
Many thanks Chris - Will certainly have a look at that :)
John - did you get the c604 card ? As it's been a little while I was wondering if you did get it if you are able to give any info on it's suitability ?
Neil - getting back to the RGB strips and controlling them.... Could you let me know how you managed to set it up as I'd very much like to do mine...
I have exactly the same issue with my landing lights - insufficient range at the bottom of the scale . 1% too low and 2% too high....
Was wondering about scaling (if possible) but not looked yet....
Neil - fundamentaly it's for RGB strips. Currently don't have any white only ones - though that may change in the future...
Chris - Not familiar with the Philips product but so far haven't had any...
Neil,
I'd like to hear how you've got it working even if Nad doesn't need the info... I've not got mine linked to the Idranet/ Cortex and would love to have control that way, been trying to bodge it...
e-mail sent with info...
Karam - comms output as requested - hope this helps :-

Chris, if it had been only a single module (or the same network cable) then I might have been suspicious of cable problems but the non working QRH is in the loft and the BRS I'm using as a test...
Yes - switch object enabled. To test I've shorted the contacts directly on the back of the module and tried both long & short "dabs" to try pulse length - still nothing... What really puzzles me is...
Tried the Reflex commands and seems to have worked spot on - Not tried reloading the modules to prove the "save" - Many thanks :D
Karam, Many thanks for that. I'll give that a try as soon as i can as that sounds exactly what I'm looking for. Lot of hospital visiting to do at the momoment so struggling for time... :(
