Unless it's the enable on the signal actions, these are enabled automatically when you create an action, macro...
I think the area you are talking about is in the controller settings where you set the enable X10, IR and input port functions.
These are all enabled.
It depends on the heat generated in the wall, if it is a thick chimney with a small flue and no heat is generated then you can sink the cables below the plaster.
Most chimneys are built internally...
