Thanks bruce_miranda. Even though I'm a 'MasterTech' Vaillant installer I get very few people requesting either Evohome or Vaillant Controls so haven't managed to get stuck into a project where I can...
Yeah, that's what I said. A cable back to the zone valve.
This is obviously dependant where your zone valve is.
If you have an Unvented cylinder you will require a cable back to the zone valve. You cannot just use the Hot Water Kit to control the zone valve.
The Cylinder High Limit stat is still required to...
Mine does this, however I usually find the heating valve opens a minute or so later. But yeah it is rather annoying.
I'd suspect with a grant you'll be very limited to your choices, and the quality of work you will probably get @DBMandrake won't to be up the standard you expect. They'll throw the thing in. They'll...
Yes it's probably fine, if you were to run at 75oc and had the system on a full demand for a good hour or so then it might be a different story.
Depends what your precharge pressure in your expansion vessel is. I have a calculator that works it all out.
At 65oc flow temp, with an expansion vessel pre-charge of 1.5 and a system fill of...
Did anyone come up with an easy solution to this?
I don't have any energy monitoring currently and would like to invest in one rather than go down the smart meter route.
Combi I take it? Hope it all goes well.
What boiler did you end up going for?
Good old fashioned way of a Gate Valve cracked open 3/4 of a turn is the best thing IMO, then remove the top.
There's apparently a work around on the Plus System boilers - although i've never implemented it myself. How are you changing the set point using eBus? Some external device I assume.
'Vaillant HW...
Does it work OK?
At some point i'll probably be replacing my boiler with a Vaillant and wondered if it's worth the extra hassle.
Did you manage to get it to differentiate between CH and HW like...
What you using to do that out of interest? a VR33?
Isn't that the main idea behind it though? Looking at the Slides on the beta, that seems to be one of the main reasonings.
Because tbh, I rarely suffered from overshoots before.
Partial works very well for me too, although not sure if it's actually saved me any money....
Is it a Greenstar CDI? If it is you’ll need some new electrodes fitted by a gas safe engineer and probably a service
Anyone managed to connect Evohome to Somfy Tahoma?
Notifications when a zone isn't heating correctly after say 1/2 hour or so.
Sounds like the boiler isn't working....at a wild guess if it's a condensing boiler and your somewhere chilly is it possible the condensate will have frozen up?
Should be a feature on EvoHome. to...
I actually found Cold Weather Boost quite useful yesterday - I've set it to a differential of 18oc. When temps here plummeted here yesterday to below 0oc i've got a couple of rooms that feel cooler....
Use a custom Quick Action schedule and not apply it to the zones you don't want to. For instance I use that feature for Summer, setting all zones to 15oc bar my bathrooms then I can override my Towel...
As the HR92 is acting as an Actuator for the zone.
Can confirm that the new update is on the latest controllers being shipped out. Fitted a system today and it has the new update :)
Sorry yes, I meant 5v. TBH i've never really paid much attention to the voltage of the controller
