Hi
Do you have internet at the house?
If yes then three philips hue bulbs could do the job reasonably simply.
Then you could re use for your house when you sell?
I'd echo what Michael has said in terms of cat 6/6e. The original automated home wiring guide is still a good read, I'd definitely suggest multiple cat 6 runs to each room.
Hi Roland,
The Logitech smart hub remotes support Hue, they may not have enough buttons for you but I have one and love both the tactile nature of the physical remote and the ability to seamlessly...
Hi Hamish,
I'd have a read of some of the forums and support sites for your potential contendors. So that would include the Lightwave hub itself, Indigo https://www.indigodomo.com/, Samsung...
Hi Nila,
This is where you come into the realm of needing some home automation software or if if such a thing exists a standalone third party app that can talk to the devices you have.
Smart...
Hi all,
I’m after some sexy switches with clear labelling to handle things like scenes, music, (probably other bits) controlled through indigo. So looking for something that has physical buttons...
Has anyone heard any updates on this? I’ve not been able to find Any switches remotely as attractive and functional as the edlt’s. I don’t have cbus but am wanting similar style to control a range of...
Hi all,
So whilst I love indigo I can't make it fully stable and reliable, not through indigos fault but due to the load I put on my aging Mac mini and its use as a variety of other purposes...
Top Gun

Hi all,

Perfect thanks Richard yes very helpful, will take a look at the app and get in touch.
Thanks for the reply, so that's around £130 inc the relay etc. any opinions anyone on that approach vs say Nest? Nest would be around £180 but would it be offering any more or any less?
If I...
Evening all,
I'm looking for something that I suspect isn't as simple as I hope. We're very efficient with our heating already, all TRV's on minimum in rooms we don't use, heating only turned on...
Hi all

Hi all,
Incredibly my girlfriend chose a spot on present for my birthday....just alas one I've already got that she didn't realise!!

Has anyone tried the remote app? I'd be interested to hear from anyone thats also used remote buddy as an ajax remote and how they'd compare? I would assume as its apple to apple that their one...
How are you distributing your consoles video outputs to the various tv's around the house?! :)
geovision might be worth a look for the cctv side of things?
hi, no worries on the questions no prob at all, glad the guide helped.
Home vision is an automation controller but does not provide any alarm functions, a Home automation enabled alarm will allow...
in terms of wiring, have you read the wiring guide on the automatedhome website? it's very good and will give you a lot of information.
If you cable right then you don't need to make your system...
ok, you need to pursue two different approaches then.
Firstly you need in each room a means of viewing different things i.e. selecting them from the server.
xbox running xbmc would be a very...
When you say watch the same thing at the same time do you need it synchronised?
Thats the key question really. If you don't need it perfectly synchronised then XBMC could handle it, i.e. two of you...
So does that mean that making a lead as you've said above could possibly work?!
What does NC stand for?
If I have to run an extra wire then its not the end of the world but the extra £100 per...
Hi all, (and Keith!!)
Two questions...firstly I'm looking at using kat5 units in the multidrop scenario using two cat5 cables to each unit.
In another post Keith mentioned that a few weeks after...
