If you have HW scheduled to come on that frequently you might never see the notorious comms failure error. Go for it. I have Solar panels, so it's not unusual for my HW to not come on for several...

It all depends how you have your HW schedule set. If the HW temperature is constantly changing it causes the sensor to send our messages more frequently, which works fine for the Controller.

Believe it or not the bug is in the Controller and not the sensor. It's caused by the Controller missing the infrequent sensor message when the temp of the water is not changing rapidly.

Simon has learnt to live with the quirkiness of the system. He hasn't thrown his system away. We all use it quite actively. And even though it's not perfect, it's still probably the best smart...

We have investigated this issue to death. The HW sensor will transmit very rarely when it's not in an active heating cycle and thus the HW temperature is not changing frequently enough. Nothing you...

It's a firmware bug, not a hardware bug. Get it, and learn to live the issues. It tends to work fine during an active heating cycle anyway.

I thought only the BDR91T can deal with the cooling reverse demand and the BDR91 can only deal with heat demand.

As for the relays, this is how it works in Domoticz. By default the relays in the system will get named and have the same ID as Controller. However these devices will report the Heat Demand. While...

In a zone with a H92 and a T87RF, Domoticz will produce 2 or 3 devices, depending on if you pressed the "All Sensors" option on the Hardware at any point.

You are suggesting what I have tried and found impossible to achieve with Evohome. However I have another problem in that my boiler has landed up getting oversized due to changes in our heating...

Same here. Setting it to highest fixed speed was my only solution.

Now you will appreciate why I didn't spend too much time translating the Device ID to names, because a single Device ID could actually have two names in Domoticz.

    Here is how:
    Let's say you have...

Yes the SSM shows up as ACM0 due to the way the Atmel drivers work. The MCU used in the SSM no longer needs a separate Serial to USB interface, which generally announces itself as a USB0.

I wrote this bit of Domoticz code and took the easiest (read laziest) route possible to get the fault log extracted and into Domoticz.

Domoticz definitely does a better job at getting a new user up and running. I've done a lot of work to keep Domoticz up to date, but I wish it was easier to maintain. Each time I make a change, I...

Chris, It's important that people realise what they have bought. The SSM simply provides a gateway to capture, process and report all the Evohome radio traffic, in a text format. So first off, on...

The only stacked Quick Action that I have found is Eco With Day Off, and that too it is hidden from the Evohome UI. I had to write a special Domoticz one to expose it to users. Invaluable during...

If the boiler can drive the pump, then surely there must be a setting related to it. Unless the boiler is clever enough to detect that it's not got a pump connected and so hides that setting
