Just as an update, removing the T87RF2033 from one of the UFH zones seems to have resolved the issue. Desbite it looking & working fine, when left unattended it seemed to send an errant heat demand...
I have had a t87rf in my bathroom for the last couple of years without issue. Never really thought about it to be honest!
....and with the system setup with me Binding on the 'orange' flashing light (which gives me a solid Orange light on zone at the 'end' of binding, as opposed to binding on the 'red' flashing light...
I have two Zones of UFH; Kitchen & Bathrooms. When I Turn on the kitchens, Zone 1 lights up on the HCC80R as expected, and the flow valves open for Zone 1. It shuts off no problems afterwards....
Another thank you from me to DBMandrake, a very interesting read & helps me understand a bit more about the system!
Factory reset the HC880R. Left it - No heat demand, system stayed off.
Tried re-binding the individual dial controllers....one seems to work fine...the other one though....!!! Within minutes of...
Installer retired a year ago it when I last spoke to him about another job.
I have checked out the Zone valve on the UFH loop and it looks to be working fine. Actuator, motor all seems to be...
Thanks Paul, grateful for your post!
With mine the system is heating up though, my UFH Controller lights up, opens the flow valves and the UFH all warms up.
Could the Zone valve have failed...
could it be a failed zone valve? All three seem to actuate as normal with the lever, I also don't get how a failed zone valve would cause the UFH controller +manifold to light up & engage? Though I...
We have had an Evohome installation for 3-4 years now, no big issues to speak of.
We came home from a weekend away with the system set to 'away', my wife adjusted some of the rooms (2 x UFH zones...
I'd love that as well, currently using 'Conrad Connect' though. Beautiful interface that really helps show off your system & how it is working for you with graph, bar charts, history of it all etc....
Mine all lasted about 18 months, and I waited for them to die fully, then bought a big pack of the high capacity Amazon rechargeable ones. Figure when the battery drops low, ill whip them out, charge...
Very pleased to see these features coming!
Thanks for the continued support. :)
Likewise for me, 10.44am!
Just having a fiddle with this, on first pass it looks good! Ability to graph everything and understand the response times of each room depending on the current/requested temperature.
How do I...
You are not wrong! It isn't needed, but then a £1000 system to control the house heating isn't needed either - far from it.... but when you buy the Rolls Royce of something, you expect the Rolls...
I know this has been asked before & I know there are several work arounds, but just for the sake of continued pressure on Honeywell.... my parents who I installed & setup Evohome for have asked (&...
Looking at using the echo myself. Hows it working now? Still happy with the controls?
Any bugs or issues found?
Sure hubby hasn't secretly figured it out, but prefers "the system" to take the fall for "randomly heating the room' ;)
Worth adding, the system does work perfectly well as is. It keeps both our room and son's room at bang on 18 degrees no matter how cold it is. Including our room being slower to cool down with...
Damn, OK yeah I have a S plan with 2 motorised valves operating hot water and heating.
It a standard pressurised system, with megaflow cylinder.
Boiler was installed last year alongside the...
Thanks for that, holding it down for 10 seconds gives me the system configuration menu after 3 seconds, and system parameters only gives options for the internal sensor offers and stored hot water?
Thanks for the replies guys.
It's a 30kw boiler, but it's a reasonable sized 4 bed detached modern house, over spec'd by an easy 15% I'd say (something I regret doing now, but all plumbers...
At night we keep only our room & our young son's room on/monitored via the Radiator HR92s.
In our bedroom the heat from the two of us generally keeps the room above the 18 degrees we set it at,...
Thank you very much for your detailed reply!
It is a S plan, with 2 x BDR91s one for heating one for hot water. I believe these control the motorised valve that triggers the boiler - but I may be...
