    Digital Coax over Cat5e

    Hi There,

Does anyone know if it's possible to put the output from a Digital Coax plug on a PC over Cat5e? And obviously, at the destination, convert it back to the correct plug type again?

If it is, can anyone point me in the right direction of the hardware i need?

    Thanks

    Trev

    Trev,

Are you looking to transfer a digital audio signal?
If so then the 75ohm video channel on Katman's KAT5 units would be a good solution.

    See http://www.laser.com/?page=shop/flyp...031063cb04eb9&
for more info, or the KAT5 forum here on Automated Home :-)

Note that this isn't a "streaming" solution via IP / Ethernet etc. but a point-to-point link over a Cat5 cable.

    HTH,

    Tim.

Abitana do a High Definition Component Video + S/PDIF Audio 4xRCA to RJ45 adapter (YPbPr+S/PDIF) have a look on their webshop. www.abitana.com/webshop/ .Then on the left hand side select adaptors.
IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU'VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.
