New Room Thermostat problem
I've recently tried to install a Sunvic TLX 7501 room thermostat and although this seemed simple enough - it is not switching on the heating. The unit 'clicks' when a temerature above the ambient temp is selected, but the boilier doesn't respond. Previously, I had a manual type Sunvic thermostat which would only turn on the heating when the temperature was turned down rather than up. THere are only two wires - red and black and a yellow/green earth - so I can't see what the problem is - unless I need a different type of thermostat? The old one that preceeded the SUnvics was an old brown and silver Honneywell unit. Any ideas?

does the small flame appear in the window of the stat when you are calling for heat?

No flame - I'm pretty sure that the Boiler is not receiving anything from the switch.

Re: New Room Thermostat problem
if there's no flame i'm guessing it's the stat,
there's a small tag between the batteries and the battery connections have you taken this out ?
i'll have a look for some instructions for the stat ,but i'm shure you have to cut a link in the back of the stat.

Re: New Room Thermostat problem
the flame on the stat only shows that the stat is calling for heat,
the stat doesn't need to be connected to anything.
so i reckon the stat isn't calling for heat,
are you connected to terminals 2 and 3
