Ravenheat boiler problem
Hi I have recently installed a Ravenheat combi boiler 84E which developed a problem after an hour of trouble free running. It fires up OK and then after a while the overheat light comes on.
This happens when either CH or DHW is called for, the ignition sparks and the burner lites. Then after a few seconds when the spark stops, the burner goes out. Then there is about 10 seconds delay before it tries again. This repeats three times then the flame failure light comes on.
This problem occurs with both CH and DHW, so i dont think it will be
the overheat stat coming in. I was thinking it may be the air pressure
sensor if the flue has slipped out of position or thew flame detection device?
Has anyone experienced anything like this before?

Re: Ravenheat boiler problem
i'd be more inclined to go for the flame detection device,
sounds like the flame is not rectifying,
have a look at the probe and the leads.

Re: Ravenheat boiler problem
The problem you describe could be reversed polarity ! But not sure how this can happen if the boiler ran ok for an hour or so.
