Hello
I need to wire my telephone and data system ASAP. The builders have run two Cat5e cables form each socket back to one point. The master BT socket is located here.
I need to connect the wires. One for telephone and One for data/Internet.
I was told that from the Master BT Socket I could have a Microfilter, with one end going to a patch panel and the other going into a router then a switch then to the sockets.
BT Master Socket > Microfilter > Voice Patch Panel > Sockets
> Router > Switch > Sockets
I have no knowledge of wiring a telephone system, will be getting someone to do it, but need to tell him how its done.
Do you think this can work?
