No Heating - Worcester 280 Combi
Help !! it's damn cold
Got a Worcester 280 combi with a problem. I have hot water, turn tap on and the boiler fires up, piping hot water comes out.
If I turn the thermostat dial so the heating clicks on, the boiler fires up for about 30 seconds and goes off again
Anyone any ideas ? I have been phoning heating engineers for 3 days now to try and get some, no joy. If I have an idea of what the problem is I don't mind calling someone out I don't know i.e. not being ripped off
Cheers
Chris

turns out it has a diverter valve on the 280, and thats the problem. If it's in over-ride the heating is fine, pt it on normal and the heating goes off.

Diverter Valve
Hi Chris,
I've have the same boiler and the same problem. Any chance you could tell me where the diverter valve is, and how much it cost you to replace?
Also did you do it your self or get someone in?
Thanks,
Matt
